Introduction

This Celestial Booster Catalyst is a great beginner-friendly offensive support setup made for open-world. The equipment above is designed to be played with the Exotic gear obtained by the Level 80 Boost, with some modifications to runes and sigils. To gear this build without the Level 80 Boost, use crafting or purchase items directly from the trading post.

Build Fundamentals

Catalyst is unique because of the mechanic Deploy Jade Sphere. The Spheres deal damage and give boons to allies. To build energy to cast the spheres, hit enemies with skills and auto-attacks. We also gain energy by swapping attunements thanks to Energized Elements. Your main source of generating energy quickly is by upkeeping Hammer 3 skills that hit often (Crescent Wind, Rocky Loop, Icy Coil, Flame Wheel and Hurricane of Pain). It is important to know what each sphere does because we can not gain energy while a sphere is active.

Since this is a condition damage variant, start in Fire Attunement and use Deploy Jade Sphere to give yourself and use all your Hammer skills. Swap to Earth Attunement and use Deploy Jade Sphere, Ground Pound, Rocky Loop, and Whirling Stones before swapping to Water. While in Water Attunement, use Icy Coil and Rain of Blows before swapping back to Air Attunement. In Air we use Crescent Wind and Shock Blast. This is going to be our baseline rotation.

Catalyst is also very strong defensively due to Deploy Jade Sphere giving you and . Additionally, using Crashing Font in water fields from Deploy Jade Sphere and Armor of Earth provides and . Furthermore, Glyph of Elementals will give you a minion to tank for you!

Use Signet of Fire and Signet of Earth off cooldown for damage.
