Booster Mechanist

This celestial booster build is great offensive support made for open-world and is beginner friendly. The equipment above is designed to be played with no modifications from the exotic gear obtained by the level 80 booster. If one does not have the level 80 booster available to them then the equipment can be obtained through crafting or purchasing directly from the trading post. This build utilizes the elite specialization of mechanist. Specifically, this build will allow you to provide permanent Alacrity, Might, and Stability uptime and some Barrier. Being a pet build makes it very strong as it allows your mech to tank for you.

Build Fundamentals

The purpose of this build is to support allies with Barrier, Alacrity, Protection, Might, Fury and Stability.

Use Crisis Zone and Barrier Burst when available to upkeep Alacrity. Using Crisis Zone off-cooldown is unnecessary and it is recommended that you save the skill for use as a stun break or to cleanse conditions. Giving Might and Alacrity is achieved by using Barrier Burst and letting your mech auto-attack Mech Arms: High-Impact Drivers and Mech Core: Barrier Engine.

While applying boons with mechanist is easy, one should remember that the boons are around the mech. The mech must be nearby you and your allies to provide the best support. Shift Signet teleports you and your mech, removes conditions and breaks stun. Overclock Signet allows you to recall your mech should it become destroyed.

Dealing damage with this build is done by combining rifle skills with a grenade kit. Use all your rifle skills off cooldown. Blunderbuss and Shrapnel Grenade share the same cooldown and you want to use them together.

For more sustain, you can take Rectifier Signet.

Your elite skill can also be replaced with Elite Mortar Kit to gain five additional skills.

Grenade Kit can be replaced with Personal Battering Ram if more crowd control is needed.

Grenade Kit can also be replaced with Barrier Signet for additional sustain and easier Alacrity application.
