    General Priority

    1. Elixir S in two situations:
      1. At start if DPS is not very high.
      2. After each Mind Crush, preferably while tanking the hands.
    2. Elixir H in two situations:
      1. While tanking the hands instead of Block Skills
      2. After Mind Crush if you’re low life.
    3. Keep Static Shield or Gear Shield Mind Crush, don’t waste both immediately.
    4. Super Elixir and Magnetic Inversion off CD, especially if you need Healing.
    5. Barrier Burst and Crisis Zone off CD, close to your character.

    Introduction

    Mechanist Handkite is a specialized build made to used during the last boss of Wing 4, Deimos. It has enough skills to stay alive while kiting and blocking the hands, survive Mind Crush and self heal when it’s needed. The gear stats used are the same as Heal Alacrity Mechanist, but in this variant you can change some pieces into Magi’s or Minstrel’s for better survivability. Communicate your toughness with your tank if you add some!

    Build Fundamentals

    The build is pretty similar to Heal Alacrity Mechanist, with the difference being that you always keep your Mech close to your character (avoid combat) while using Crisis Zone and Barrier Burst to get , , and Barrier. In this build Alacrity plays a crucial point, since you want to block the hands and use elixir S to prevent you from getting damage and stacking them correctly.

    You have two Block Skills and one Elixir to prevent the damage from the hands:

    Avoid using Elixir S when Deimos is about to cast Mind Crush, otherwise you will have no way to block it and you’ll get Downed. Ideally, use this skill just after Deimos has cast Mind Crush and then stack 5 hands before moving out. You won’t take damage from Weak Minded (7% max health damage per pulse) during the effects of Elixir S.

    Keep one of the two Shield skills available for Mind Crush. In the meantime, you should use Barrier Burst, Elixir Gun Super Elixir and Elixir H to help you while tanking hands.

    Crisis Zone can be used either to yourself or your team to provide . Hands strip , so be careful if you want to use this skill to block Mind Crush.

    Use Elixir H at your own discretion, both for helping while tanking the hands or if you want to recover life after each Mind Crush. This is your strongest Healing Skill, and it also provides .

    Important notes

    • Never Dodge while you’re about to block Mind Crush using Static Shield or Tool Kit Gear Shield. Try to time it well whilst also blocking hands.
    • Use Elite Mortar Kit Elixir Shell on top of your character to get some extra healing. Additionally, if you use Magnetic Shield Magnetic Inversion, you trigger a Combo Water Field + Blast Finisher that heals around you. Remember to not use Super Elixir before and inside Elixir Shell, otherwise you will cause Area Cleanse instead of Area Healing when you use a Blast Finisher.
    • While you equip an Engineering Kit you regenerate health over time thanks to Backpack Regenerator.
    • Energizing Slam provides and at the end of the leap. Use this skill when you need to move to another position.
    • For Challenge Mode (CM), it’s safer to have more Maximum Health and Toughness (at least 1600-1700). Check with your current Tank how much you can increase it, and use Super Elixir more often during the fight.

    Alternatives

    Gear

    As mentioned in Introduction, you can change some gear pieces into Magi’s and/or Minstrel’s. Consider to keep a high Boon Duration whilst getting more Health and Toughness.

    Superior Rune[s] of the Monk is still a good option if you don’t have access to Superior Rune[s] of Sanctuary.

    Relic[s] of the Monk is still a good option if you don’t have access to Relic[s] of the Defender.
