Introduction

Condition Quickness Firebrand is a powerful and highly flexible offensive support that provides permanent , , and a variety of other boons to a subgroup.

Build Fundamentals

Damage foes with Pistol/Torch before entering Tome of Justice for more damage.

Use the flexibility of Tome Skills to adapt to the situation and provide damage Tome of Justice, support Tome of Resolve, or utility Tome of Courage as needed. A huge chunk of Firebrand strengths lies within these tomes.

Build Specifics

Mantra skills are cast in a cone in front of you, so position yourself appropriately to deal damage and apply boons to your allies, the cone opening is 160 degrees which is almost a half circle and cone range is 450. Mantra charges cast instantly and do not interrupt other skills, so use them while casting other skills to maximize efficiency:

• Spam all charges Potent Haste for and Flame Rush for damage
• Restoring Reprieve, however, should be used every few seconds to maintain via the trait Liberator's Vow, plus and uptime. Save the final cast, Rejuvenating Respite, for emergency .

You can open Tome of Justice and Stow Tome while casting utility skills without interrupting them. Use this to maximize DPS.

Always keep in mind that granting quickness to allies always comes first with this build, and dealing damage is secondary, but also nothing to neglect. All the skills seem confusing or complex at first, but once you got the hang of the basics it will be manageable at worst and ordinary at best.

Dealing damage revolves around regularly switching weapons, to cycle through offhand skills as often as possible. Pay attention to charges of the fourth skill on Torch and Pistol. Both can hold up to two charges and you want both to be charging almost all of the time. This is achieved by using one charge immediately when swapping to a weapon, a second time when a charge becomes available, and a third time before swapping to the other weapon.

Alternatives

Being a Firebrand has the increadible upside of being a Guardian, which has lots of quite useful utility skills to choose from, depending on the encounter and what is needed to fill gaps in your group.

Replace Purging Flames with:

• "Stand Your Ground!" – more .
• "Advance!" –  and more .
• Sanctuary – immense breakbar damage or projectile destruction.
• Hammer of Wisdom or Bane Signet for extra CC.
• Wall of Reflection – more projectile reflects.

Food Alternatives

• If you don’t have access to Ascended food:
  • Use Plate of Beef Rendang instead.
• You can use Koi Cake, but only if you are desperately out of gold.
