Introduction

Power Boonstrip Virtuoso is a strong build with great utility with the ability to deal a lot of damage both at range and in close combat.

Build Fundamentals

Your main role is to burst enemies and remove their boons. Your Shatters remove boons thanks to Shattered Concentration and Phantasmal Berserker removes boons when they hit. Additionally, Bountiful Blades makes Phantasmal Berserker create an extra Phantasm.

Once a Phantasm dies, it turns into a blade instead of a clone. You can only have a maximum of 5 blades at the same time.

Blade Renewal will restock your blades and briefly give you Distortion.

Due to your Shatters becoming projectiles, Dodge or block an attack to activate Psychic Riposte before using Bladesong Harmony or Bladesong Sorrow, rendering them unblockable. You can see if the trait is active if you currently have the Psychic Riposte buff.

Use Sword of Decimation to enemies, which can be deadly.

Use Signet of the Ether to reduce the cooldowns of Phantasmal Berserker and Echo of Memory / Phantasmal Lancer.

Build Specifics

Greatsword

Use Phantasmal Berserker and Mirror Blade as much as possible to deal damage and generate Blades.

Be aware of Mind Stab locking your character in place when used – mindlessly casting it can get you into troublesome situations.

Spear

Spear brings strong melee damage but you lose the survivability options of Sword & Shield.

Using Mind the Gap grants Clarity, enhancing your next Spear skill.

Whilst affected by Clarity, it’s important to know that:

• Mental Collapse applies .
• Phantasmal Lancer summons an additional Phantasm.
• Imaginary Inversion heals yourself for a larger amount.

Regardless of whether you are affected by Clarity, Imaginary Inversion grants Blur, allowing you to evade incoming damage.

Sword / Shield

Save Blurred Frenzy for survivability, it grants you Blur, allowing you to evade incoming damage.

NOTE: Blur and Distortion share the same icon but are very different! Blur evades, Distortion is immunity.

Use Echo of Memory as your primary defense to block incoming damage. If you block an attack, you gain access to a secondary blocking skill Deja Vu, which is a duplicate of the first skill. Your Illusionary Avenger phantasm will either spawn at the end of Echo of Memory‘s duration or instantly when an enemy skill is blocked.

Tides of Time will targets on impact. It can impact twice, on its’ way out and when it comes back to the player. The skill’s cooldown can be reduced if the player is touched by the skill’s returning part.

Alternatives

Traits

You can equip Vicious Expression over Mental Anguish to remove boons whenever you hit an enemy with Crowd Control skills such as Illusionary Wave, Tides of Time and Bladesong Dissonance etc.

Skills

You can swap Sword of Decimation for Blink if you want a and movement skill.

If preferred, you can also swap Time Warp for Thousand Cuts.

Null Field and Phantasmal Disenchanter are a possibility for some extra boon removal.
