Booster Untamed

Introduction

This Celestial Booster Untamed is a great beginner-friendly offensive setup made for open-world. The equipment above is designed to be played with the Exotic gear obtained by the Level 80 Boost, with some modifications to runes and sigils. To gear this build without the Level 80 Boost, use crafting or purchase items directly from the trading post.

Build Fundamentals

While Untamed, you gain access to Unleash Pet and Unleash Ranger, which flips your Pet Skills to an Unleashed version or gives you access to an Unleashed Ambush attack (Sundering Volley in this build).

Unleashed skills are altered versions of the base skills, which either modify or empower their behavior.

Whenever you use an Ambush, you will provide and to yourself and allies nearby thanks to the trait Let Loose.

Build Specifics

Unleash Pet grants you access to three useful abilities and 25% damage reduction via Vow of the Untamed:

• Venomous Outburst deals damage and teleports your pet to a target, which is useful for repositioning your pet quickly.
• Rending Vines deals damage and removes boons in an area.
• Enveloping Haze destroys projectiles near your pet while pulsing damage and .

Try to always use your 5th weapon skill after Weapon Swap (Call of the Wild or Bonfire), to activate Quick Draw.

Use Sun Spirit for and as often as possible.

When Weapon Swap is available, a good combo is to Unleash Ranger, use your Ambush Sundering Volley, then Weapon Swap and Ambush once more, Sundering Volley.

When you use your Forest's Fortification, you will gain the effect Forest's Fortification. Combine this effect with multi-hitting skills to deal as many hits as possible to reduce its cooldown further, such as Hunter's Call, Splitblade, Exploding Spores, and more in your kit.

• Storm Spirit

Swap Unnatural Traversal for:

• Mutate Conditions – Stun break and condition cleanse.
• "Protect Me!" – Stun break and barrier.

Swap Perilous Gift for:

• "We Heal As One!" – strong healing skill that copies your boons to the pet and vice-versa.

Gear

• As an option, it’s possible to run Axe off-hand over Torch, this loses you some damage but you gain access to Whirling Defense.
