This celestial booster build is great offensive support made for the open world. The equipment above is designed to be played with no modifications from the exotic gear obtained by the level 80 booster. If one does not have the level 80 booster available to them then the equipment can be obtained through crafting or purchasing directly from the trading post. This build utilizes the elite specialization of the untamed. Specifically, this build will allow you to maintain almost every boon in the game permanently every boon except Aegis. It also provides fast-paced gameplay via Let Loose allowing you to use skills very often.

Build Fundamentals

Let Loose

This trait is by far the most important part of this build to understand!

It causes all of your control abilities to reduce all of your skill cooldowns by four seconds. This has a tiny 0.25-second cooldown and chaining together control effects will allow one to use its most powerful abilities with almost no downtime!

Maximizing the power of Let Loose using Quick Draw is essential.

Quick Draw reduces the cooldown of the first ability used after weapon swapping by 66%. Use Call of the Wild and Path of Scars after weapon swapping to massively decrease their cooldown effect allowing you to get more activations of Let Loose, which will increase your output of everything.

Ability Usage

This build has an extremely high skill cap and a huge amount of abilities and mechanics to utilize. However, as you learn and improve your skills, Untamed can become one of the most BROKEN builds in the entire game for open-world content!

When starting combat, start unleashed as a ranger Unleash Ranger. This will allow you to immediately gain Quickness from Enhancing Impact to help chain your abilities together quickly. Exploding Spores will generate Might and knockdown nearby foes while also applying massive Vulnerability to your enemies because of Debilitating Blows.

Boon application to others is very straightforward using Storm Spirit and Call of the Wild. Using this approach will provide allies with permanent Alacrity, Swiftness, Regeneration, Fury and Might. Application of boons to oneself is achieved with Forest's Fortification, Exploding Spores, "Protect Me!" and Enhancing Impact. What makes untamed interesting is how all these skills combine with Let Loose, allowing you to use all these skills often making you end up with an almost permanent uptime for every boon.

After unleashing your control effects and boon application abilities, use "We Heal As One!" as often as possible. This will provide sustain and further increase your offensive and defensive potential by copying the boons of your pet via Fortifying Bond. It’s not uncommon to have 25 stacks of Stability almost all the time because of this incredible interaction.

To deal damage you want to be using all your axe skills off cooldown. Combining weapon skills and control skills to maintain boons while applying Vulnerability and dealing damage at the same time. Your skills will be off cooldown almost permanently because of Let Loose.

Unleash Pet will grant you access to three useful abilities and 25% damage reduction via Vow of the Untamed ;

• Venomous Outburst deals damage and teleports your pet to a target, which is very useful for repositioning your pet quickly.
• Rending Vines deals damage and removes boons in an area.
• Enveloping Haze destroys projectiles near your pet while pulsing damage and Chilled.

These are all worth using for extra damage and also have their cooldowns reduced by Let Loose. The amount of projectile destruction and boon removal provided by these abilities is worth noting. What’s even better is that they are all instant cast, so you simply cast Unleash Pet mash the abilities, and then Unleash Ranger again to get the 25% damage increase from Vow of the Untamed back. This has the bonus of granting you your ambush attack Sundering Volley, which will deal high damage and steal life because of Natural Fortitude.

Pick any 2 from:

• Fanged Iboga can be considered the ‘default’ pet that has excellent damage from strong auto attacks Crippling Anguish and Narcotic Spores.
• Siege Turtle is an awesome tank and can take a large amount of damage for you while you obliterate strong enemies!
• White Tiger to apply Aegis to yourself and allies.
• Lynx for maximum single target damage.
• Brown Bear for condition cleanse with Shake It Off.

Utilities skills

Swap "We Heal As One!" for:

• Water Spirit for the perfect way to apply permanent Alacrity and some healing to allies when combined with Storm Spirit.

Swap "Protect Me!" for:

• Another spirit for additional application of Alacrity.
•  Spike Trap for additional crowd control and damage.
• Sharpening Stone for maximum single target damage.
