    Introduction

The Vindicator elite specialization offers Revenants a remarkable option for excelling as a supportive force within any group. Boasting not only potent support abilities but also remarkable self-sustainability, Vindicator has become even more formidable due to recent balance adjustments. These changes have breathed new life into the favoured legend, Ventari, elevating its effectiveness. Additionally, Saint Viktor continues to be a vital component of your support build, remaining a cornerstone despite the adjustments it has undergone.

    Build Fundamentals

The build is best described as a Healer and condition cleanser that offers support to players that are on and off of tag. Vindicator is able to easily provide huge heals, cleanses, barrier, stun breaks and some boons either over time or in a burst.  However where it really shines is in it’s ability to heal and it can also do this from 900 range on a very short cooldown in both legends.  Vindicator still has access to legends, Saint Viktor is a must take and then either Ventari or Jalis depending on what you need.

    Main Priorities

Staying alive should be prioritized above all else, and luckily support vindicator has a lot of survivability.  So much that you may not even need to use your dodge for yourself. You can help to keep your health points above zero through tactful use of energy management, skill usage, positioning and timing.  In terms of positioning you will want to stay slightly behind the commander tag, this allows you to more reliably land your support skills on either the main group or players off tag or in the tail.  Being able to see behind you and in front at all times will give you a huge advantage in carrying your team.

TIP: Under General Options (F11) Scroll down to User Interface and check the box “Always show squad health bars” and “Always show party health bars”. These will make it much easier to keep track of who needs your support, and finally last but not least check “Thick Party Health Bars”

Legend and skill rotation is flexible depending on what you need to prioritize, managing energy, understanding the build and rotating skills correctly will help you successfully support players when needed.

    Legendary Saint Viktor (Alliances)

Starting out the fight with this legend you will want to rotate Tree Song, your Heal skill Selfless Spirit, and Elite Urn of Saint Viktor.  Thanks to the following traits Healer's Gift, Eluding Nullification, Fortified Blessing  Saint of zu Heltzer these will help you cleanse, heal, barrier and provide boons to your team.

Tree Song Priority number one, use this to grant regeneration and cleanse 3 conditions from allies from 900 range, healing them for each condition removed. Gain endurance for each affected ally, and gain additional endurance for each condition removed.  This has the potential to burst heal for up to 6-7k on a single player but it can effect 5!  This can be used to support the main stack or far players from your group that needs cleanse and burst heals.

(TIP) It may also be used on down stated / downed players to buy time for essential resurrection banners.

Selfless Spirit Channel and pulse heals to allies within a 240 radius. Use this skill on its own or while pulsing your elite Urn to recover or keep your squad’s HP above 90%-full.

Urn of Saint Viktor (Elite)  Become the Urn of Saint Viktor, is an upkeep skill and costs -7 energy to pulse heal nearby allies within 240 radius. You do take -50% damage while in this state and move 50% faster, but you cannot be healed so use it wisely.  Be careful should you need to put it away to either regain energy or receive personal heals as it has a 1 second cast time!

Awakening A 600 radius instant cast stun break for you and allies, perfect for emergency situations.

Battle Dance Evade backward, granting resistance and regen to allies.  Only use in an emergency if needed or if you favour the resistance boon over a tree song cast.

(TIP) Rotation of skills can be flexible but you basically want to always use off of cooldown dodge, Tree Song weapon swap and Energy Meld an example can be seen above (top right).

    Legendary Centaur Stance (Ventari)

Ventari stance has some of the best group defensive utilities which can be used in melee and ranged distances. This means you can be highly flexible on how you support your allies. With the recent balance changes this has opened up new options when it comes to how you play this class and legend.  Swapping into Centaur legend once you are below 10 energy means you will gain an extra 25 energy totaling 75! thanks to Charged Mists.  Depending on the situation you may choose to use different skills in this legend, lets talk about them.

Ventari's Will is the fast cast main tablet skill that replaces your heal skill, this needs to be moved and positioned where appropriate to apply the effects of your other Ventari skills.  Project Tranquility will occur passively around your tablet every 3 seconds for minor heals.

Energy Expulsion is your main skill to use instantly after swapping into Ventari to take advantage of its empowered effect ‘tranquil’. This ’empowered effect’ only occurs when you initially swap into Ventari or after you explode the tablet. Due to recent balance changes, now when using your elite skill whilst tranquil is up not only gives cleanse, heal, resistance but now also gives stability in a 240 radius whilst blasting fields!

Tip: You may use this Elite prior to any fight before you get in combat to pre stack boons, then swap back by right clicking the Ventari legend and choosing the Saint Viktor.  This will allow you to regain the 50 energy and be in the correct legend for the start of the fight.

Natural Harmony is your main burst heal, note the empowered version ‘tranquil’ will allow for endurance gain and more healing should you prefer this.

Purifying Essence This skill is your main source of burst cleanse removing 3 conditions, it also heals per condition removed.  Once again when empowered ‘tranquil’ this skill can cleanse another condition totaling 4!

Protective Solace Projectile denial can be very strong but not a priority.

Tip: make sure you drain all of your energy before swapping legends to take advantage of the extra energy you gain via the trait Charged Mists

    Weapon Skills

Some of your weapon skills have strong support utility and have relatively short cool downs. Timing is key when to use them and understanding how to use them effectively will help your groups sustain.

Mender's Rebuke Smash the ground in front of you to damage foes. After a delay, allies in the area are healed. Heals for more if an enemy was struck. Any time you are not hitting other skills, you should be using menders rebuke to keep allies HP topped up.

Warding Rift Create a rift from the Mists that blocks incoming attacks. When the rift closes it blinds 3 foes in front of you. You only want to use this in an emergency if you need to use it to survive.

Renewing Wave Within a 300 radius release a burst of Mists energy that heals and removes conditions from allies. Create a healing orb for each ally that loses conditions. This skill is also a blast finisher! Use this skill if you should need a burst heal and more cleanse.

Surge of the Mists Charge forward 600 range, knocking back enemies.  Due to it having a 1 second evade this can great tool to survive, but should only be used in an emergency.

    Alternatives

It may be possible you wish to swap out Ventari/centaur legend for dwarf stance, as this will give you more personal damage reduction and a stun break.  It isn’t favoured but if you are struggling to survive this may help, you can also swap in the trait line retribution instead of invocation (Retribution traits top /mid/mid).  This will again give you more damage reduction and another passive stun break.

    Legendary Dwarf Stance (Jalis)

Dwarf stance has one of the best group defensive utilities with Rite of the Great Dwarf. This grants allies strong damage mitigation on range spikes when combined with Inspiring Reinforcement Open the fight with this stance from range and then swap to Saint Viktor.  Example of a rotation can be found above (top right)

Inspiring Reinforcement Create a stone road that damages and weakens foes on cast. Once it’s created it will pulse 5 times, granting stability to allies within its 900 range.

Rite of the Great Dwarf (Elite) Channel the power of the great dwarf to coat yourself and allies within 600 radius in stone armour, reducing incoming damage by 50%!  also Breaks Stun should you need to use it in an emergency.
