The Chaos Raiding Open – Special Prize Winners!

The chaos has ended, and the dust has settled in the raid wings…

It’s been a little over a month since Snow Crows managed to outspeed their competition and win the Chaos Raiding Open! Once again, congratulations to them for pulling it off, but they weren’t the only winners! Before the tournament we announced in a news post that there would be additional special prizes that could be earned during the tournament. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to select winners for every category that we listed. We’ve received a fair bit of feedback on this and we’re planning to improve this aspect of the competition in future installments of Ready Check Cup. For now here are the winners for the meme prizes!

 

Best Dressed Team

While every team had a few true fashionistas, this team definitely took the cake. These gamers matched their outfits perfectly for every wing: dressing up as spirits released after Mordremoth’s death in Spirit Vale and roleplaying as members of the White Mantle while battling the horrors in the Bastion of the Penitent.

Congratulations to[TNO] Team2B for wowing both the community and the admins and winning the ”Best Dressed Team” prize.

Closest Call

Sometimes things go according to plan and sometimes you have to clench your buttcheeks and slam down on your keyboards to deal enough damage to avoid dying to a boss’s attack. [SG] Trouble barely managed to escape a disastrous wipe by killing Adina with milliseconds to spare. However, Adina did manage to score a few downstates from the grave.

This close call was the most spectacular one we saw during the tournament and [SG] Trouble takes home the ”Closest Call” prize!

Most Challenge Motes Completed

Throughout the entire tournament there was only one team that completed a challenge mote. Congratulations once again to [TNO] Team2B for winning another category by slaying the Conjured Amalgamate with the challenge mote enabled.

Some closing words

While the Chaos Raiding Open was supposed to be a fun, quick and lighthearted competition before the release of spears in Janthir Wilds, we definitely saw a lot of teams going hard to try and claim that fabled ”Community Hero” title for themselves. Theories were crafted, spreadsheets were made, and many hours of sleep were lost.
