Introduction

This Celestial Booster Dragonhunter is a great beginner-friendly offensive setup made for open-world. The equipment above is designed to be played with the Exotic gear obtained by the Level 80 Boost, with some modifications to runes and sigils. To gear this build without the Level 80 Boost, use crafting or purchase items directly from the trading post.

NOTE: If you own the expansion Secrets of the Obscure, you can switch Relic of the Dragonhunter to Relic of Zakiros for incredible self sustain.

This Build can serve as a stepping stone towards the upgraded setup:

Build Fundamentals

The build focuses on dealing strike damage (power), using your Longbow, Greatsword and Traps. To achieve this, we combine various damage modifiers that increase strike damage.

You deal increased damage while you’re under the effect of and .
After using one of your Profession skills: Spear of Justice, Wings of Resolve, and Shield of Courage, you will gain additional damage thanks to Inspiring Virtue.
Deal increased damage to foes that are with Zealot's Aggression.
Increase damage to disabled foes (under crowd control) or foes with a defiance bar with Heavy Light.
Your Symbols grantSymbolic Avenger while dealing damage to foes.

You have great access to mobility thanks to Wings of Resolve and Leap of Faith and have strong range pressure thanks to Longbow’s 1200 and 1500 range skills.

Alternatives

You can swap Heavy Light for Big Game Hunter for increased damage but it will require having the F1 Tether of Spear of Justice active on the target. Removing the tether by pulling would cause the damage modifier to be lost.

Bane Signet can be changed to "Advance!", "Stand Your Ground!" to grant and to yourself and allies, or Sanctuary for increased defiance bar damage. In general, Guardian has access to many great utility skills, so be sure to explore them!
