Introduction

Power Sword Holosmith offers high damage output, self sustain and high encounter adaptability through Heat management.

Build fundamentals

Enhanced Capacity Storage Unit is the defining trait of this build. It increases the maximum Heat capacity to 150 which increases the damage modifier from Laser's Edge by 7.5% to 22.5%. It also drains Heat while not being engaged in Photon Forge.

Your goal is to keep your Heat high (99-150%) while not Overheating. A huge advantage of Enhanced Capacity Storage Unit is the adaptability you gain through managing your Heat: being able to let your Heat drop to use Holographic Shockwave before a CC happens or resetting your burst during downtime.

Cast your Toolbelt skills inside Photon Forge or use them off-cooldown if they are instant cast like Surprise Shot. Optimally you want to use Blade Burst above 100% Heat and if there are enemies nearby inside the Hitbox of the Boss to maximize hits on the Boss.

Use Laser Disk and Prime Light Beam inside Photon Forge or instead of Shrapnel Grenade.

Important Notes

• Above all else, do not Overheat! It will disturb your rotation and make you lose a lot of DPS.
• Finish your Auto-attack chain as Gleam Saber will give you a 3-second cooldown reduction on Refraction Cutter
• Your Photon Wall is a flip skill that doesn’t allow you to throw Launch Wall instantly, buy some time by using Grenade Barrage or Laser Disk
• Be mindful that Engage Photon Forge will cancel your weapon skill cast

Utility Skills

• Swap Hard Light Arena for the toolbelt skill Prismatic Singularity if you need pulls, for example on Slothasor, Trio, or Xera.

Notes

• Healing Turret can be used to for group healing and condition cleanse (for example after Soul Split on Dhuum)
• Crystal Configuration: Zephyr is useful to give (for example while escorting Glenna or speeding up Desmina during River of Souls)
