Your Necromancer’s Shroud is replaced by Manifest Sand Shade, which allows you to provide support and damage at range. The main mechanic of Scourge’s Shades is understanding that your F2-F5 skills apply in two locations – your current location and also the location where your Manifest Sand Shade is placed, meaning you can cover twice as many targets with each skill! Use Sand Cascade and Sandstorm Shroud to provide to your allies and cleanse their conditions thanks to Abrasive Grit. Use Garish Pillar to activate Transfusion, reviving your downed allies around yourself. NOTE: even though Garish Pillar will activate on the Manifest Sand Shade location, Transfusion only pulses from your character. Sandstorm Shroud pulses with a stronger application on…

Therefore it is useful if you’re already familiar with kiting and know which skills are ranged. Only "Wash the Pain Away!" first few pulses require you to be close to your allies. Earth tempest applies high amounts of thanks to Elemental Shielding and has significantly better survivability thanks to its the damage reduction from Stone Flesh, Geomancer's Training and Stone Heart. Thanks to  Elemental Bastion and Cleansing Water  auras that you apply to your allies will heal them and…

When you are able to get closer to perform your damage combo from greatsword, you should use Maul followed by Hilt Bash (preferably from behind as it will stun rather than daze) and use Maul again.
